Anya Taylor-Joy looks like a really classy cream puff at the 2021 Emmy Awards

I wasn’t looking for a new favorite celebrity fashionista, but Anya Taylor-Joy came along and I had no choice but to stand. I mean, his style of play is virtually unmatched! When you pair a beautiful girl with a taste for luxury with a stylist as good as Law Roach, you get an undeniable match made in sartorial heaven – and these looks are proof of that!

If you are not familiar with Law Roach then bless your heart. He is to thank for literally all of the most memorable fashion moments of the past five years. And by that, I mean he’s Zendaya’s stylist. But he is too Anya’s stylist Taylor-Joy and Roach have really enjoyed dressing her up like the real Barbie she is ever since they started working together.

She’s already racked up a long list of stunning looks in her little time as Hollywood It Girl, but maybe none are as exciting as her look from the 2021 Emmys, fresh off the red carpet. Taylor-Joy received a nomination for Best Leading Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Film for her role as Beth Harmon on Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit.

Still breathtaking, she presented herself as a ray of sunshine in a pale yellow dress from Dior with a voluminous gold skirt that flowed from what looked like a sleeve of fabric in the front of the waist. The high neck and halterneck cut made for a minimalist upper half, but the bottom of the dress brought all the drama. Our shopping editor pointed out that she looked like a very chic cream puff and TBH I can totally see it.

A shiny topknot of curls and glitzy diamond earrings completed the look, and Taylor-Joy’s red lip provided a fun wash of color. Otherwise, her glamor remained fresh and light, with clear lashes and brows and a raised inner corner to make the eyes pop.

And speaking of the Met Gala, her 2018 look was a total success. She retained the theme “Heavenly bodies: fashion and Catholic imagination”.
