Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told a minor league baseball team on Tuesday that she released a video describing her as an "enemy of freedom" and placed her picture next to Kim Jong Un and Fidel Castro.
The Bronx Democrat wrote in a series of tweets that messages such as the one displayed on the screen during Fresno Grizzlies Memorial Day caused an increase in death threats against him.
"What people do not realize (maybe they do not realize) is when organizations spread these hateful messages, my life changes because of the flood of death threats they inspire," she wrote Tuesday on Twitter.
"I've had mornings when I woke up and the first thing I do with my coffee is to review the pictures of the men (it's still men) who want to kill me," she added.
In the video aired at Chukchansi Park, President Ronald Reagan's voice warned of "enemies of freedom" and an Ocasio-Cortez photo was published with Kim and former Cuban leader Castro , reported the local channel KFSN.
The tweet of the congressman arrived after the club apologized to him on the social network site.
