Gonzaga climbed to first place in the latest Associated Press poll, with the Blue Devils third in Monday. Virginia beat her competitor from ACC to take second place. Teams No. 4 in Kentucky and No. 5 in North Carolina complete the Top 5.

The Blue Devils lost Williamson less than a minute after their 88-72 home defeat against the Tar Heels last Wednesday, when his left shoe broke and seemed to make him twist his right knee. He did not return and was later diagnosed with a sprained knee.
