The most recent season of Apex Legends, “Emergence,” added Ranked Arenas to the mix after the previous season first added Arena Cards to the popular video game. Arena maps are smaller than traditional huge battle royale maps than the base mode for Apex Legends includes, and it also changes loot and player count, severely limiting it and pitting three players against three others. And, it looks like big changes are on the horizon for Ranked Arenas in particular.
Apex Legends Lead designer Robert West recently responded to ranked arena reviews on Twitter with a thread of upcoming changes for the mode. “We have some matchmaking and AP improvements in the pipeline and of course we’ll continue to update as we go,” West shared. “I know of at least 1 bug that we are investigating and hope to have a fix for it soon.” You can check out the thread for yourself below:

According to West, there are some updates underway that should overall make Ranked Arenas a much smoother experience for people. This includes, but is not limited to, how AP and matchmaking odds play together to determine teams. “Lower ranked teammates usually mean their MMR is close to yours, but they haven’t gotten as much AP. That should be better after the update as well,” West says in the thread.
Apex LegendsThe final season, “Emergence”, is currently available in the game. The season brought with it the new Legend Seer among many other changes. Apex Legends itself is currently available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. As of Season 9, the popular free-to-play video game appears to have dropped the number in favor of one name only, with “Emergence” technically being Season 10.
