The developers of Apex Legends have confirmed that they will study a nerf for the Prowler amid complaints from players that it is too powerful after it runs out of stock.
The start of Season 10 of Apex Legends: Emergence saw a wave of new players arrive in Respawn’s popular battle royale. While the new update has received rave reviews, it’s not all sun and rainbows.
Seer, the new legend, has already been called too strong and very lightly broken by some fans, prompting the developers to reveal that a balance update will come sooner rather than later.
Additionally, the Prowler, which was previously only available in Supply Drops, has also been criticized for being too strong. So the developers are making a change there too.
The Prowler has always been a solid weapon in Apex.
In their Season 10 AMA on the Apex Legends subreddit, a number of Respawn developers answered a wide range of questions, many of which focused on bugs and fan complaints.
One fan asked if something will be done about Seer and the Prowler, given that players have already started to criticize them for being too good.
“I can talk about the ranger, we are watching him and we will study a potential nerf to come,” replied Respawn developer Jello, not to mention Seer given that others had already done so.
Many players have been delighted that the weapon is going to be changed, although there is no date or time set for the update yet.
It remains to be seen how Respawn will adjust the weapon as well. Some fans will want the damage and recoil changed to make it slightly less powerful and more difficult to master, but that’s up to the developers.
