Apex Legends: Emergence – Seer Abilities, Ranked Arenas & Weapon Changes Details Explained

Apex Legends Season 10 Emergence will be released soon on August 3, 2021 and will bring many changes to Apex Games. There were in-game teasers for weeks ahead of Respawn’s trailer showcasing the new Legend Seer and new map changes to World’s Edge. While patch notes are not yet available for the new season, we have a look at the most significant changes available in this update.

Here’s what we know so far.

New Legend Light Kit

First of all, everyone is wondering about the new Legend Seer. The new Legend has been officially revealed as the next contender to compete in the Apex Games in a trailer airing July 19. In the latest Emergence trailer, we got to see a bit of the Seer’s Legend kit in action. We don’t have all the details, but here’s what we know about Seer’s kit so far:

Passive (seeker of heart): Allows Seer to visualize the location of enemies and hear heartbeats in the nearby area. The Seer can spot where enemies are without revealing its location. When aiming down with weapons, Seer will be able to hear the heartbeats of his enemies.

Tactical (Focus of attention): Sends Seer’s microdrones which will scan and collapse on enemies and interrupt whatever the enemy’s actions are at that time. For example, if an enemy uses a healing item, Seer’s Tactical will interrupt the healing and the enemy will have to start it over again. The Focus of Attention will also allow Seer and his teammates to see the marked enemy’s health bar, making Seer the first Legend to reveal such important information. This analysis will take 8 seconds.

Ultimate (Expose): Deploys a sphere of microdrones that detects enemies inside that fire weapons or move quickly around the dome. If you crouch inside the dome you won’t be detected, but you can also shoot the heart chamber which deploys the Ultimate and get rid of it (think Horizon’s black hole which can be destroyed). Enemies detected in the dome will be revealed to Seer and his teammates.

Seer is in direct competition with Bloodhound’s kit, and based on what we see with the patch notes, Seer may be a stronger choice than Bloodhound for the next season. Being able to give teammates information on the whereabouts of enemies, interrupt their actions, while not revealing Seer’s location is incredibly valuable and less risky than a Bloodhound scan.

Additional legend changes

Legend’s other major changes for the upcoming season include an additional sound effect in the Revenant Ultimate. When the ultimate timer is about to run over someone in shadow form, an additional sound will alert that player and anyone around them that they are about to return to their normal form.

Horizon’s kit has been adjusted to combat the severe nerf given to him two seasons ago. Fuse’s Knuckle Amas duration has been doubled, and her ultimate now highlights enemies caught in her ultimate’s flaming circle as it was previously impossible to see into or out of the ring of fire. This new buff will also reveal enemies that are inside a building inside Fuse’s Ultimate’s ring.

Finally, Caustic’s gas damage has been changed again. In the next update, Caustic’s gas will no longer work at a standard damage rate of 5. Instead, it will increase damage every two seconds from 5 then 6, and so on. Caustic’s Ultimate also lost 5 seconds on cooldown.

Weapon changes

A new weapon has been added to Apex’s arsenal: the Rampage LMG. It is the first weapon that Rampart built from the ground up and how it works is incredibly unique. The Rampage is a heavy ammo LMG that has a slower rate of fire and is more optimized for mid to long range combat. However, you can charge the Rampage using a Thermite Grenade. This has a slight charge time before it gets “wound up,” which increases its rate of fire, making it much more viable at close range.

The Rampage’s magazine doesn’t contain as much ammo as the Spitfire, but it does contain enough to be used comfortably in mid-range combat. Speaking of the Spitfire, it has now been removed from the ground loot pool and crated into Care Package weapons. He was brought back to the pre-nerf Spitfire state (from before Season Legacy). In turn, the Prowler is back on the floor loot pool, but it can only be used in its burst fire state with no auto fire mode. The Alternator has also been crated and will now appear in heal packages with Disruptor Towers (Hop Up which deals bonus damage against shields), something we haven’t seen since Season 3.

The Anvil Receiver and Quickdraw Hop Ups are removed from the loot pool, and pistols will get some of the perks Quickdraw had to offer. There is a new Hop Up called Boosted Loader which can be used on the Hemlock and Wingman. When you’ve equipped the boosted magazine and your weapon is almost empty, if you time the reload correctly, you can get a faster reload and also an overloaded ammo clip giving you extra ammo.

There will be a visual indication of when you will need to reload to maintain that momentum, so it will all be a matter of timing if you use this Hop Up. Other weapon changes include the L-Star finally being able to use cannons and magazines (which will allow the L-Star to fire longer without overheating and collapsing even faster). The EVA-8, which reigned as a shotgun meta for Season Legacy, will have a rate of fire nerf with bolts across the board. Gun stocks will now determine faster reload speeds with each level and the 30-30 Repeater and G7 will now use sniper stocks.

Classified arenas

Arenas will also reflect any weapon changes, so players can purchase the Prowler for use in matches or pick up the Spitfire from healing packages. The arenas will also implement a separate ranked mode where you can try your hand at fighting against players of the same level.

This ranking system will be completely separate from the Battle Royale system (but will have the same ranks such as Bronze to Predator) and a new MMR will be defined. In Ranked Arenas, you’ll play 10 placement matches that will determine your initial MMR and starting rank. From there you can move through the ranks. There will be no rank cost to participate in a Ranked Match in Arena, but in this mode, unlike Battle Royale, you will not have downgrade protection. So you can go from Platinum IV to Gold I, for example, if you lose enough points. There will be no Season Divisions for Arenas, and your rank will only reset at the start of a new Season.

World’s Edge Map Changes

Finally, speaking of Battle Royale, World’s Edge is getting a makeover for Emergence since the Harvester fractured more of the planet and Hammond is now rushing to heal the damage done. The Sorting Plant, Refinery, and Yard have been replaced with larger POIs that add healthier spins to the map, and moving gondolas have been added to map locations to bring back gameplay. dynamic. A few new rotations have been made to open the northern section of the map, providing more options for moving through Geyser and Overlook. And players can rejoice again as World’s Edge map changes bring back blue skies as well.
