Fuse is the new legend heading into Apex games and he brings a lot of grenades with him. Fuse is an explosives expert and each of his abilities fits this theme.
Fuse’s passive allows him to carry an additional grenade to each inventory slot and shoot them further and faster. His tactical ability launches a series of cluster mines that split into several smaller bombs, hitting all enemies in a large area. Fuse’s ultimate ability is called Motherlode, and unleashes a bombardment that surrounds his target in a wall of flame.
Since all of Fuse’s abilities are explosive, he should be the perfect character for players who want to lock their enemies into a small area or just drop explosives at them. Fuse should also be a great character for newbies. Apex Legends players this season because it is about placing explosions and grenades where the enemy is standing.
Overall, Fuse’s kit looks like it should fit in nicely with the rest of the Apex Legends listing. In fact, it has more than a few similarities to characters like Bangalore, which also has a grenade launcher and missile strike. Fuse appears to be more focused on denial and controlling the area, while Bangalore’s capabilities focus more on degrading enemy vision and slowing it down.
Meanwhile, Fuse’s unique modifications to grenades – which give him increased range and speed – may mean that some squads will feed all of their explosives into their Fuse, turning it into a one-man mortar crew for that they rush forward.
The fuse will arrive in Apex Legends with the launch of Season 8 which is slated for February 2.
