A new Apex Legends leak has offered a first look at the location of the Rampart Town Takeover as well as other teasers that will arrive in the battle royale.
City takeovers have been a thing in Apex Legends since Season 2, when Octane’s Gauntlet landed on Kings Canyon. They allow Respawn to refresh the map slightly while also adding to a character’s deep lore.
With Season 10: Emergence in full swing, with players familiarizing themselves with Seer and all that the new update has to offer, all eyes are on what’s to come later.
Leaks have already confirmed that Rampart is set to host a city takeover event and accompany Heirloom later in the season, and she will be upgraded as well. Now we have a better look at what to expect.
Rampart was released in the Season 6 update.
As some eagle-eyed fans have noticed, one of the teasers for the Rampart event has a ship similar to the Mirage Voyage, its version being called “Big Maude.”
According to dataminer GarretLeaks, this should be the location of the city of Rampart takeover, but it’s a crashed ship that was taken over by Apex Games’ resident modder rather than a steering wheel.
As for when we’ll start seeing in-game teasers for the takeover of the new city, the leaker says they’ll start in early September, with the usual three stages we saw before returning. Some of these teasers will be near Lava City, but the exact location of the city takeover has not been revealed.
Other leaks have suggested that the Rampart POI could also be part of an Arenas map, but of course this is unconfirmed.
We’ll have to wait a few weeks before we can experience the New Town takeover and event, but it’s going to be a lot of fun.
