Apex Legends season 8: new legend, weapon, release date announced

Respawn introduced Apex Legends players to merge with a new short Stories from the Outlands on Monday. The four-minute video tells the story of Fuse’s love affair with explosives, which dates back to a childhood episode in which he and his best friend discovered “a beautiful bloody grenade” that once belonged to the fighters. of freedom on their home planet, Salvo. Fuse and her boyfriend go on all sorts of adventures together – to the tune of an ’80s metal-style song – but their relationship begins to break down when the macho man with the Australian accent enters into a fight in the Salvo fight stands.

Salvo eventually joins the Syndicate group of planets, much to the dismay of Fuse’s friend, who grew up worshiping the aforementioned freedom fighters. At this point, Fuse walks up and announces that he is leaving Salvo for the Apex Games. He offers a truce, but she is frustrated and angry – and starts a fight. At the end of their fight, Chekov’s grenade goes off and Fuse wakes up to find his right arm ripped off.

Data miners have previously uncovered files suggesting that Fuse has a tactical ability called Airburst Grenade, in which he can use a launcher on his mechanical right arm to fire a grenade, and an ultimate ability known as Motherlode, which him allows the use of a cannon. on its back to launch a missile that leaves flames in its wake. There is no information yet on its passive ability.
