Apex Legends Switch News Coming Very Soon, Says Respawn Entertainment

According to a recent YouTube video and an Amazon listing, Respawn Entertainment’s free-to-play Battle Royale game Apex Legends arrives next month on February 2.

While there is no official confirmation from EA yet, game director Chad Grenier has now answered a question on Twitter – asking when the Switch version of the game will be released. Apparently, Nintendo fans can expect some news very soon. Here is the full exchange:

Apex Legends was originally set to launch on the Switch last year until Respawn decides to delay the game in October. Grenier said it’s to make sure the team is doing the Switch version “justice.”

There is also news on the Japanese retail release through GoNintendo. Unsurprisingly, it’s filled with “digital-only” content and won’t include a game card.

If Apex Legends arrives next week, at this rate it could be a surprise drop on the eShop. Are you going to be checking this free title every time it lands? Comments below.
