Apple adds a tribute to the Raptors on its homepage – TechCrunch

The Toronto Raptors won the NBA 2019 championship last night, which is probably not news for you if you are A) Canadian (like me) or B) basketball fan. But unless you start your Friday buying Apple material on their Canadian website, you may not have noticed this subtle Easter egg.

If you go to https://apple.com/ca, which is the Canadian version of Apple's home page, you'll be greeted by an ephemeral animation that goes down from the top of the screen and only lasts for a moment – at first I was confused and only paid attention halfway; So I thought it was kind of a weird promotion for Father's Day.

Then I reloaded and looked again and noticed that the animation was actually composed of swirling dinosaurs, Canadian flag and basketball emojis. Because I'm very smart, it only took me about 15 minutes to gather all the elements of last night's NBA championship final and the basketball team that calls my home town.

Anyway, it's fun and Probably finished with Cupertino's seat approval – although there are probably quite a few Golden State fans who are not thrilled with the recall of the one who won.
