Apple AirPods Max Now Available On Amazon

Apple’s AirPods Max are now available on Amazon in three different colors: Silver, Sky Blue, and Space Gray. Unlike their namesakes, AirPods Max are not headphones. Instead, these are large, high-quality wireless headphones. The quality is reflected in the price; These headphones retail for $ 549, and while AirPods Max will ship at various times in the future to other retailers, all three colors are available to ship to Amazon immediately or within two days. (At least they are as of this writing.)

Apple claims that AirPods Max were designed to deliver high fidelity sound, active noise cancellation, comfort, and quality. They feature spatial sound (with head tracking), so sounds can appear to be coming from all around you when watching movies and shows. They also have a transparency mode that lets you listen to the outside world with just the push of a button. They are designed to be extremely comfortable to wear, even during long sessions.

The canopy, or the top of the AirPods Max that sits on your head, is made of a knitted mesh material that Apple says distributes weight evenly to relieve the pressure you might feel when wearing others. headphones. The frame is stainless steel and the cups are anodized aluminum, with memory foam pads that are comfortable around your ears while blocking sound.

Above one of the mugs you’ll find the controls. There’s a button to change the listening mode, and there’s an Apple Watch-style digital crown (or button) that lets you control volume, skip tracks, answer the phone, and activate Siri. .

To power the active noise cancellation feature, the AirPods Max have six external microphones that listen to the noise around you. Then, they deploy an equal but opposite “noise canceling” inside the headphones which effectively cancels out sounds from the outside world.

AirPods Max can detect when you take them off your head, and they’ll pause the music or podcast you’re listening to. When you store them in the smart case that comes with them, they automatically switch to ultra-low power mode to save battery power. Speaking of battery life, Apple says AirPods Max last 20 hours between charges.

And like the other AirPods, they’re easy to pair with any other Apple product you own. They have a one-click setup mode that automatically appears when you place your AirPods Max near your iPhone or iPad for the first time. They also offer seamless switching when you switch from your iPhone to iPad to MacBook.

They also have two internal microphones to monitor the sound you hear and additional microphones to capture your voice for phone calls.

Of course, all of these Apple-style features and design come at a cost. The AirPods Max certainly cost more than many other wireless headphones on the market. But then again, audiophiles know you can spend a lot more on headphones than that.
