In September 2019, Apple launched a new subscription-based game service, Apple Arcade, allowing App Store users to pay a monthly subscription fee to access dozens of games without any in-app purchases or additional costs. The official launch of Apple Arcade took place on September 19th, but access began to be rolled out for iOS 13 and 13.1 beta testers on September 16th.

What is Apple Arcade?

At its September media event, Apple announced that Apple Arcade would cost $ 4.99 per month and that a free trial of one month would be available to test it.

Is family sharing included?

Yes. A single Apple Arcade subscription for $ 4.99 will allow six family members to access games. You just need to set up Family Sharing, which requires everyone in the family to have the same credit card associated with their Apple IDs.

Which games are included?

Where can I find Apple Arcade games?

Apple has added an Apple Arcade tab to the Application Store where you can find all the games included in the Apple Arcade service. Apples Application Store publishers will highlight different titles, make suggestions and help you find new games.

Are there any advertisements?

Nope. Apple Arcade is an all-in-one subscription service that does not require any additional in-app purchases or any cost to unlock the content. As there are no ads, there is also no follow up ads. The confidentiality of the users is protected. All future updates and additions of content will also be included in the price of the subscription.

Can Apple Arcade games be purchased separately?

Apple Arcade games are available on iOS Application Store only via Apple Arcade and can not be purchased individually without an Apple Arcade subscription. Some of these games are also available on consoles.

Can Apple Arcade games be played offline?

Yes. Apple will allow you to download these games and play them even without LTE or WiFi connection. Apple Arcade games are downloaded just like any other game in the series. Application Store, just through the Apple Arcade tab.

On which devices can Apple Arcade games be played?

Apple Arcade games will run on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac. Games are supported by Made for iPhone game controllers, as well as PS4 and Xbox controllers. Apple builds controller support in tvOS 13, iOS 13and iPadOS 13.
