Hollywood computers are down mysteriously, leaving studios unable to work on movies.

The problem seems to be related to the Avid software used to produce movies and the Mac Pro computers it is loaded on.

This means that Apple computers fail to reboot, causing panic among users who rely on systems to create some of the world's most famous movies.

Users were asked not to turn off their computers for fear of becoming a victim of the problem.

Avid posted on Twitter that she was "aware of the restart problem that affects Apple Mac Pro devices running some Avid products".

"This problem is a top priority for our engineering and support teams, and we are working diligently to identify and resolve the root cause," he continued, before promising to keep users informed.

The problem seems to relate specifically to older Mac Pro using Avid Media Composer software, a editing tool used by various film and television shows.

Apple is working on a new version of the Mac Pro, which is expected to come out this year, but currently only sells that released in 2013. This old professional computer, called "trash", is still on the desktop of many video publishers of the world and those who need high-end devices.
