It is possible that the connection to the iCloud website becomes much easier with an iPhone, iPad or Mac browser, as Apple strives to provide support for the biometric connection to the iOS 13, iPadOS and macOS Catalina service.
According to 9to5Mac, testers who already use beta versions of Apple's future operating systems now have the option of connecting to iCloud.com via Touch ID and Face ID, which adds an extra level of convenience to the connection process.
A pop-up on the new beta.icloud.com version of the Cupertino company would apparently offer beta users of compatible devices the ability to connect via Touch ID or Face ID without the need for two-factor authentication. Security is much stronger than a password entered manually.
According to 9to5Mac, the new biometric login method is likely linked to the upcoming technology connection tool, Apple, currently in beta and scheduled for public launch in September. This tool is supposed to allow users to "easily connect to your applications and websites with the help of their Apple ID".
For years, Apple has been pushing for tougher online privacy measures, following Facebook's Cambridge Analytica scandal and its own breach of iCloud since 2014, and the inclusion of Biometric security in iCloud seems to be a good idea of the current situation.
