The most interesting and notable change in Maps is the new Look Around feature, which is Apple's answer to Google's Street View feature. Looking around allows you to look at the street level around you (or what you are looking for) in the Maps application.
Look Around leverages Apple's entire Maps-related data collection, which ranges from collecting data in the car for several months to collecting data on foot in some cities.
Look around you Apple Maps view can be used wherever a pair of binoculars is shown. By tapping on a small map, you can tap again to use the feature in full screen.
Tapping on the screen allows you to move around in the Look Around box, and tapping on a remote area will provide you with a neat and fun zoom. Notable points of interest, such as restaurants and businesses, are highlighted by identifying icons.

Look Around is limited to areas where a car can go because it uses data captured by a 360-degree camera on a vehicle. This means you can not zoom in on areas like parks or beaches, for example, but Apple might add this feature in the future because the company also collects data on foot.
As with Google Maps, personal information such as locations and license faces are dimmed to protect people's privacy.
At present, Look Around is limited to certain areas of the United States, such as parts of California and Nevada, but Apple plans to extend the availability after iOS 13 is released. It is expected to be available in the United States in 2019 and in other countries by 2020.
Cards in iOS 13 has a "Favorites" option, which allows you to search for specific locations and add them to a favorites list. Favorites are Home and Work default, but you can add any location.
If you tap any of your favorite options, you'll immediately get directions, making the Favorites list the best place for the places you visit regularly. Siri Suggestions is also used here to suggest places you would like to visit and which you may want to add.
There is also a new "Collections" feature in which you can group different places, such as the restaurants you want to try or the places you want to visit.
All your collections lists can be shared. You can create lists of places for friends and family who visit you in your city, and share them with them, for example.
Apple on stage mentioned a new interface of Maps in iOS 13, but this seems to largely refer to the changes that the company has already begun to implement in iOS 12.
However, some notable changes have been made to the main interface of Maps, even in areas where iOS 12 maps have already been deployed, such as a view of road hazards and traffic conditions that are normally only visible when detailed instructions are entered. Traffic in iOS 13 is visible on the main map.
Apples iOS 13 the website specifically mentions more realistic details for roads, beaches, parks, buildings, etc., but it is not clear if all this is new.
The collections and favorites are nice additions to Apple Maps this makes it more useful, and Look Around is a fantastic new tool for keeping a close eye on what's nearby.
