Apple Music exceeds Spotify in number of paid US subscribers

It looks like Spotify No longer is the king of the streaming music game. According to a Reuters report, Apple Music officially exceeded Spotify in terms of the number of monthly paid subscribers in the United States.

But do not count Spotify at the moment.

By the end of February, Apple had 28 million US subscribers and its rival Spotify, 26 million.

However, Spotify still ranks first in terms of the total number of US headphones, as it allows listeners to use a free version of the app with advertising support.

According to the report, analysts believe that Spotify still displays a stronger overall subscription position than that of Apple Music.

Last February, Spotify had a total of 96 million premium subscribers and 207 million active users per month.

Apple Music does not regularly disclose the total number of subscribers, the last "official" account reaching 50 million in May 2018.

Spotify jokes users with a weird playlist
