Developers who allow users to create an account in their iOS, iPadOS, and macOS apps will soon have to offer users a method to delete their accounts in apps as well. Apple says that starting January 31, all app submissions (including updates) will need to include the option.
The company announced this requirement alongside other changes to the App Store guidelines at Apple’s Global Developer Conference in June as part of an effort to give users more control over their data. .
