Apple today shared a new ad that focuses on the durability of the iPhone 12, particularly highlighting the Ceramic Shield display, which is said to be stronger than standard smartphone glass.

In the ad, a woman’s iPhone 12 slips out of her hands and she gropes with it for several seconds before he slips out of her grip and lands on the ground, leaving unscathed.

“‌IPhone 12‌ with Ceramic Shield. More resistant than any smartphone glass. Relax, it’s the iPhone, ”the video caption reads.

All ‌iPhone 12‌ models feature OLED Ceramic Shields, which Apple claims provide four times better drop protection than that available with previous ‌iPhone. Models.

The Ceramic Shield material, which comes from Corning, is made by infusing nano-ceramic crystals into the glass to improve durability. While the Ceramic Shield appears to be more resistant to drops than the iPhone’s previous display technology, it is still prone to scratches.
