Apple temporarily closes all remaining Apple Stores in the UK

Apple has closed many retail stores as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to peak – on December 20, it temporarily closed all locations in California, Mexico, Brazil and more than a dozen in London. Now, as England and Scotland enter a pair of new national lockdowns, Apple is closing all of its remaining stores in the UK.

As 9to5MacAccording to Michael Steeber, this means 18 more stores are now closed across the UK, including several in Scotland and one in Belfast, Ireland – although it appears the Belfast store has already been closed. (Northern Ireland was stranded even earlier, on December 26, shutting down all non-essential stores.)

While it’s interesting to note the closures, they may not make a big difference to more shoppers, who already couldn’t physically enter many of these stores since November. It was at this point that Apple started offering express service only in several of these stores. You could have picked up orders online, but you couldn’t browse.
