Apple TV resumes the Howard Stern show with SiriusXM application update, no AirPlay required

SiriusXM is deploying today an update of its iOS application with an updated user interface. Today's update also brings the experience to the owners of Apple TV 4th Generation and Apple TV 4K users, the company said in a press release.

The SiriusXM app on Apple TV now matches experiences on iPhone, iPad and other mobile devices from subscribers, and the web-based player on SiriusXM.com, which offers features that help users find more of what they like about more than 200 channels of SiriusXM.

In addition to being available on Apple TV, SiriusXM also adds The Howard Stern show to the application. Users previously had to AirPlay the series from the Web to access their TV.

The video of Howard Stern is featured on the SiriusXM app to facilitate the discovery and viewing of the best King of All Media content.

SiriusXM currently offers more than 5,000 hours of on-demand content in a variety of genres, including music, entertainment, sports and talk shows.

The SiriusXM app for Apple TV is available as a free download on the tvOS App Store.
