Apple Watch Series 7 orders now preparing to ship ahead of Friday’s release

While the launch date of the Apple Watch Series 7 was a mystery during the “California Streaming” keynote, Apple is wasting no time. After pre-orders began on Friday, some customers have already received notification that the product is preparing to ship.

Apple usually does this when launching new products, so that doesn’t mean shipping will start early next week. In fact, maybe a few lucky customers could receive the new watches by Wednesday or Thursday, although the majority who were able to pre-order the Apple Watch Series 7 yesterday will receive it on Friday the 15th.

A few 9to5Mac staff members have already received the “Preparing to Ship” message. As you can see in the image above, the Apple Watch Series 7 with 41mm, Starlight aluminum case and Dark Cherry Sport strap is expected to arrive next Friday.

On social media, few people have posted about their Apple Watch Series 7 getting ready to ship. For now, many model choices already have their delivery dates pushed back to November, as a previous report suggested it would be limited in supply during pre-orders.

Apple Watch Series 7 pre-orders

The Apple Watch Series 7 brings the first watch redesign since Series 4 when it introduced a larger screen. Now with almost no bezel, the new Apple Watch offers 41mm and 45mm screens. Although it has the same S6 chip as last year and the same sensors, it has a brighter Always-On display and is able to charge faster than previous models.

The new watch is available in aluminum, stainless steel and titanium as well as with GPS or GPS + Cellular connectivity. Here are the models:

Aluminum

  • Midnight
  • Stars light
  • Green
  • Blue
  • (PRODUCT) RED

Stainless steel

Titanium
