Apple Watch sleep tracking, school mode, AR / VR headset icon, and much more in iOS code 13

Over the past few days, MacRumors has released several details about Apple's future competitor, Tile, and the development of an augmented reality headset after receiving an internal version of iOS 13 from the source.

By digging deeper into the code, we encountered several other information related to the Apple Watch and the iPhone.

First, it seems that Apple is working on a new Schooltime feature for the Apple Watchdesigned to help students concentrate during class hours by blocking access to applications, complications and notifications on the device. Emergency calls and alerts will not be blocked for security reasons.

Users can set when Schooltime is enabled in Apple Watch application on iPhone, like every day of the week.

Apple also tests sleep tracking on the watch, as indicated by 9to5Mac earlier today. We can confirm that this feature is called "bed time tracking" based on iOS 13 code, with a string indicating that "you can also follow your sleep and wake up silently by wearing your watch in bed".

A new sleep app on the Apple Watch will give users an overview of their sleep patterns, as well as reminders to users for bedtime and battery charging. Apple Watch Users are advised to have at least 30% of the battery life to sleep, according to a iOS 13 string seen by MacRumors.

BloombergMark Gurman was the first to report that Apple was testing sleep tracking on the Apple Watch. Last February, he announced to Apple the launch of the feature by 2020 if the tests were deemed conclusive. This acquisition follows Beddit's acquisition of Apple's iPhone-connected sleep tracking accessory in 2017.

MacRumors also discovered references to new Apple Watch complications, including altitude, latitude, longitude and sleep. Once released, the Sleep app can also have a full standby dial, based on a "ClockFaces-Burrito" channel. "Burrito" is the code name for the Apple WatchSleep monitoring

As for the iPhone, the internal strings in iOS 13 point to new low-light photo settings in the original camera app and possibly in the Game Center for new tournaments, even if the details are slim.

Earlier in the day, MacRumors discovered an icon within Apple's Find My In-App, which describes what appears to be an AR or VR headset. There are "on" and "off" versions of the icon, respectively in white and gray, and each contains "B389" in its file name, the code name of the next element trackers. mosaic type of Apple.

This icon could simply represent the augmented reality mode expected in the Find my app and probably does not represent the Apple augmented reality headset. Read our previous cover for more details on this project.
