Apple will launch its competitor Netflix on March 25

Apple's Netflix streaming service will launch this month

APPLE CONFIRMED that it is organizing an event on March 25 and will unveil its long-awaited Netflix competitor.

The firm sent invitations Monday (we are still waiting, natch) summoning the press for the so-called "special event" to be held at the Steve Jobs Theater on the company's campus.

The slogan "it show time" almost says that the long-running video streaming service from Apple will make its appearance. According to rumors, the service "Apple TV" will focus on the original television programs of the company – in particular, Planet apps and Karaoke ridesharing – and collect programs and films from all the services to which users subscribe.

While Apple would plan a "star-studded" launch, the Netflix-like service would apparently face the opposition of HBO, Hulu and, of course, Netflix.

The problem, unsurprisingly, is focused on Apple's revenue-sharing terms. The TV application would allow users to subscribe to services rather than go through their own apps, and Apple would impose a 30% reduction in the number of subscribers.

Apple's "Netflix for News" service, which is also scheduled to debut on March 25, would face similar resistance. The WSJ announced that Apple will charge $ 10 per month for an unlimited-play subscription and will require a substantial 50% reduction in publisher revenue.

Although Apple's TV teaser suggests the opposite, recent rumors have suggested that the March event could also be marked by the launch of Apple's second-generation AirPods, the long-awaited AirPower charger and two new iPads. . a new model "budget" 9.7in and the iPad Mini 5.

Like always, INQ will be there to bring you all the latest. The event will begin at 17:00 UK time on 25 March. μ
