Apple is once again changing the period in which customers must purchase its AppleCare + extended warranty for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and other products. According to Bloomberg, the company extended eligibility for AppleCare + to a full year after purchasing the device you’re covering. Retail and customer support staff were notified of the change on Monday, although Apple’s website still does not reflect any updates.

Mac buyers previously had a one-year window to make a decision on whether to purchase Apple’s extended warranty, but when the company added accidental damage coverage to the plans, that delay slipped. tightened to 60 days.
