Apple has a plethora of upcoming material for its fans. Along with the new iPhone 11 Pro, Apple is working on new materials for this year and next year. Bloomberg announced Thursday Apple's plans for its next hardware.
Apple would work on an updated iPad Pro. The company will launch this year a new 11 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro with upgraded cameras similar to the upcoming iPhone. Apple is installing three cameras on new iPhones, with enhanced video recording capabilities, which could also be routed to the iPad Pro. The new iPad Pro will also offer faster processors and a design identical to that of the current generation of iPad Pro. Elsewhere, Apple is upgrading the low-end iPad aimed at schools with a 10.2-inch display, eliminating the traditional 9.7-inch panel.
The company is also working on a new redesign of the Apple Watch for this year. The new Apple Watch Series 5 will feature a new design and larger displays, but the upgrade will be more focused on watchOS 6 software enhancements. It could also come in a new titanium finish.
Bloomberg confirms today the 16-inch MacBook Pro, which is expected to arrive this year. The casings of the new laptop will be thinner, giving it almost the same size as the current 15-inch models. According to rumors, the new device would also have the new design of Apple's scissor switch keyboard, although Bloomberg does not talk about it.
For the next year, Apple will apparently be working on new AirPods and HomePods. The company is working on AirPods 3 with new features of water resistance and noise cancellation, which will cost more than the current model. Cupertino is also working on a new, cheaper HomePod, which will only be offered two tweeters compared to the seven current HomePod tweeters. The lower price of the device could allow it to sell better than the current HomePod, which did not sell well.
We will probably have the opportunity to see the new iPad, Apple Watch and the 16-inch MacBook Pro as well as the new iPhone 11 Pro in September. Apple has not yet officially announced this event, which should take place on September 10th.
