Apple’s “ One More Thing ” Mac Event: How To Watch Today

[ad_1]

This story is part of Apple event, our comprehensive coverage of the latest news from Apple HQ.

Apple Macs are about to have a brain transplant. On November 10, Apple is expected to announce its next generation of computers. And unlike desktops and laptops sold for 14 years, these newer computers will not be powered by a chip made by Intel. Instead, Apple will use one similar to the chips that power the iPhone and iPad.

While we know some things about Apple’s new Mac computers, including the fact that they will be able to run iPhone and iPad apps, there are still a lot of questions. Among them, Apple did not specify the exact speed of its new chips compared to a comparable computer powered by Intel. Apple has also not discussed other changes it would make to its desktops and laptops, although they are expected to be more energy efficient.

In the end, the Apple event promises to be interesting. This is the third major product unveiling that Apple has hosted this fall. And he’s online because of the Coronavirus pandemic. There have been more than 46.8 million confirmed cases of the virus worldwide and more than 1.2 million people have died from it. The event also occurs a week after the Controversial US presidential election of 2020, and only a few days later the race was called.

While the Mac will be a key product at Apple’s event, and probably what most people are focusing their attention on, the company may have other devices to show off. These include new Apple-branded over-ear headphones called AirPods Studio, as well as the company Long-rumored AirTags to find your lost keys, among other things. And in a long-term possibility, a smart headset, which Apple has yet to discuss publicly.

Apple’s online event follows company announcements in September for its latest iPad, Apple Watches and Apple One subscription service, and in October for his HomePod Mini smart speaker and iPhone 12 handset series.
