Apple's online store and Apple stores in the US now offer a new LG UltraFine 23.7-inch 4K display, replacing LG's previously available 4K and 5K displays.

Priced at $ 700, the new screen was discovered yesterday in an Apple store before going online today.

Apple has started offering UltraFine 4K and LG 5K screens alongside the 2016 MacBook Pro, but has since stopped selling both original models.

The new 23.7-inch display offers a resolution of 3840 x 2160, which is lower than the 4096 x 2304 resolution of LG's previous 4K 21.5-inch display, but is still considered Ultra HD resolution.

From a design standpoint, the updated LG UltraFine 4K screen looks a lot like the previous 4K and 5K models with a simple black plastic case. It offers a wide range of colors P3 for bright colors and true to reality and a brightness of 500 nits.

It connects to a Mac via a single Thunderbolt 3 cable, providing up to 85W of charge for laptops. There are two Thunderbolt 3 ports, which is an improvement over the single port of previous models.

With two Thunderbolt 3 ports, it is possible to chain other Thunderbolt 3 accessories (or a second screen) on a single connection. There are also three USB-C ports and built-in stereo speakers.

The new screen is available today on the Apple online store and many more Apple Retail stores across the United States.
