Fans of the April Giraffe can rejoice because this well-known animal has welcomed a baby Saturday, announced park officials.

"Welcome to the world, my boy!", Said on Facebook Facebook Animal Adventure Park in New York announcing the birth of the calf.

Early Saturday, park officials prepared the barn for a possible birth after April's behavior indicated it could happen soon, the post added.

At around 12:43, April's baby "made her big splash" in the world! "Dr. Tim quickly identified that we had a baby boy!"

The event has gathered more than 300,000 spectators, according to officials.

Mom and baby "quickly bonded together," officials said, adding that the calf had risen and started breastfeeding.

In 2017, April recorded more than 232 million live views on YouTube during a seven-week period prior to the birth of Tajiri, according to the Associated Press.

It would be the fifth calf of April and the second for her and Oliver, the father of Tajiri and the newborn. A naming contest for the new calf will take place soon, said the point of sale.
