Warner Bros just out Aquaman 2 for December 16, 2022. The only other major studio release already booked this weekend is a live action movie without a Disney title. Christmas Day falls on a Sunday of this year and Illumination Animation features an untitled movie that opens on Wednesday, December 21st.
Earlier this month, Deadline announced that Warner Bros has called on James Wan collaborator David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick for the follow-up.. Johnson-McGoldrick co-wrote Aquaman with Will Beall. James Wan and Peter Safran produce.
