This Sunday, the echoes of the XXXII annual meeting of the communities, which was again a success, the city of Alta Gracia is ready to receive a new "invasion" of visitors. This is the traditional pilgrimage to the sanctuary of Lourdes, which, according to official sources, will have about 150,000 pilgrims.
This is the reason why the official agencies conceived a vast operation. Access to such a mbad of visitors fulfills its purpose of venerating the Virgin without problems. From this Sunday at 2 pm, the hand of the Atilio López highway that leads to Alta Gracia will be cut off, being the official starting point for the pilgrimage of the Las Flores Rotunda and the Plaza de las Américas, without touching Alta Gracia -Córdoba for the exclusive use of emergency vehicles and residents of intermediate areas. In this context, the authorities recommend that tourists return Sunday from the Calamuchita Valley via Highway 36 or by the C-45 road. The operation will continue until Monday at 11 am, after the pbadage of parishioners to La Gruta and the pbadage of the bulk of the pilgrimage.
Meanwhile, in the city of Tajamar, the municipality of Alta Gracia has just inaugurated a sensitive redevelopment of the street Bútori, which gives access to the cave, as well as health posts, l 39; hydration and public toilets at different strategic locations.
The idea and realization of the Cave in honor of the Virgin are due to two pious ladies of Buenos Aires, Mrs. Guillermina Achával Rodríguez de Goyena and Mrs. Delfina Bunge of Gálvez; who, wishing to show their love and gratitude for a favor received by their intercession, have attempted to reproduce on Argentine soil a copy of the cave of the Pyrenees, in France.
