3 year old boy is abandoned with his dog in a cemetery and people fill him with gifts | the Chronicle

Two days before Christmas, police in Hinckley, Ohio, US received a call from a witness who claimed to have witnessed the abandonment of a baby and dog in the local cemetery.

Officers attended the scene and found Tony, three years old, with her pet. A blue car had stopped, pulled them out and rushed off, while the child and dog ran behind for a few minutes. After this situation, the baby was taken to a foster family.

After his story went viral, a room in the Hinckley Police Department was inundated with clothes and gifts for the boy.

“I want to thank you all for your kindness in purchasing Christmas gifts for Tony and your offers to foster and adopt him.Police said in a statement. “They are all amazing people and we have a great community here in Hinckley, throughout Medina County and beyond.” Read the statement.

The hall of the police station was completely filled with gifts for the minor and he was happy, as can be seen from the images the police shared on his official Facebook account.

Police managed to locate the three-year-old’s father, who “collaborated” with the police, ensuring Tony was in mother’s care when he was abandoned. However, no charges have yet been brought against anyone and the investigation is still ongoing.
