According to the report published today, 289,000 foreigners arrived in the country without pbading through Buenos Aires.

Compared to 2016, the domestic airports received more than twice as many foreigners (130% increase) and Ushuaia, Bariloche, Neuquén and Tucumán, which multiplied by 6 last year's figure, were the most popular foreign visitors.

As Buenos Aires has recorded only a 5% increase in the reception of foreign tourists.

The airport of the city of Tucumán was one of those who experienced the strongest growth, rising from just over 1,200 pbadengers in 2017 to more than 7,400 in 2018. Ushuaia almost quadrupled this figure from 800 foreign tourists in 2017 to nearly 3,000 in 2018; Neuquén, out of 2,000 pbadengers in 2017, increased to 3,400 in 2018, an increase of 70%; Bariloche has tripled this figure, from 5,000 foreigners in 2017 to 16,100 in 2018.

Advances in the reception of foreign tourists at Tucumán, Neuquén and Bariloche airports are explained by the resumption of international connections since 2016. Today, Tucumán is connected to Lima, San Pablo and Asunción; Neuquén with Santiago de Chile, Antofagasta and San Pablo. And Bariloche with San Pablo, Asunción and Santiago de Chile.
