The family evicted by the Puebla sinkhole was the victim of a telephone scam

The family whose house was hit by the abyss that formed in the municipality of Juan C. Bonilla, in the state of Puebla, not only suffers from the loss of his home, but adds to it they were scammed.

From a video on the YouTube channel TV contrasts, Magdalena Xaliamihua and Heriberto Sánchez said they were victims of phone scam.

It all started last Wednesday, June 2, when Madeleine he was contacted by a Women who is identified as representative of the Minister of the Interior of Monterrey.

“They told me that he was from Monterrey, Nuevo León and that the person I loved was Marisol Hernández, who I was going to deposit 35 thousand pesos, for what we live. He asked me for my voter card, proof of address and the cell phone bill», Heriberto recounted.

Not having this last proof, the woman tells Heriberto that she should make a deposit of one thousand 900 pesos to access the donation. Later he told her he should make another deposit, but now 2 thousand pesos.

“I told him why he had to pay 2,000 extra pesos, but he told me: ‘it’s a lot of money, it’s 35,000 pesos and Banco Azteca was going to give 10,000 extra pesos’ […] They told me to deposit to the account 4152313785596797. I have already deposited it and sent the tickets via WhatsApp and in fact I recorded the messages. They told me that they would give me half an hour to get to Banco Azteca, ”he said.

The couple then went to the bank hoping for some help, but upon arriving and opening their statement, they realized that absolutely nothing had been given to them.

“We arrived at Banco Azteca and my account statement is clean, there is nothing. […] Suddenly this call came to me, because I said: ‘no, it is already a help’. But no, they scammed us and it’s not worth it. It hurts a lot because when I see my legacy it falls, ”Magdalena said in tears.

The woman has also requested that the person who stole her money be found, as she is in a very difficult situation.

“I also underline, I cordially ask the people, the Governor, the President and all those listening to us, to help us find them and pay for what they have done. Yes I want him here in my house, and I want to talk to him, why are they doing this to us. We are having a bad time“Herberto asked before bursting into tears.

For its part, Miguel Barbosa Huerta, governor of the state, instructed the Government secretary to find thieves.

Through videos and images circulating on social networks, the inhabitants of Santa Maria Zacatepec, a community belonging to the municipality of Juan C. Bonilla, Puebla, denounced the formation of a chasm in the middle of the fields.

The neighbors of the community assure that the phenomenon of at least 100 meters in diameter and 20 meters in depth, can be derived from the existence of a jagüey, that is to say a depression on the ground which allowed the storage of surface runoff, but that years has been covered in full.

In view of this, the area remains protected by elements of the municipal police and civil protection, which they urged the population not to approach the scene to avoid any accident.
