This morning, Foreign Relations Secretary Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón criticized Luis Almagro Lemes’ management as Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS). Now the lawyer replied in a blunt manner.

In an interview with NTN24 TV news, the diplomat replied that he had done nothing to the Mexican foreign minister, but since he is a good person, he would only have good wishes for Ebrard.

“I am good people, for my part, I wish him that no other job he has done as head of government in Mexico collapses. Without prejudice to my solidarity with the victims of the metro line, ”said the Uruguayan.

This was said in reference to the collapse of a section of line 12 of the metro’s public transport system (STC) on May 3. The also known “gold line” was the magnum opus of Ebrard Casaubón’s six-year tenure, construction of which began in July 2008 and was inaugurated on October 30, 2012.

Ebrard Casaubón said Almagro Lemes’ administration was one of the worst in history, a claim the politician said was part of a campaign used against him to avoid re-election.

“This, as we have seen, was overcome with the facts, it is a defeated slogan in an OAS electoral process, therefore, it did not affect me. Today this morning, I received two notes congratulating me for the management that we have developed over the last six years of the OAS, so, certainly, I will keep these elements, ”he added.
