Until today, Israel has 230 active indigenous cases.

At the same time, the country is making progress in vaccinating adolescents between the ages of 12 and 15, who number around 600,000, and, according to official data, 10,000 appointments have already been made to be vaccinated.

Israel is the country with the highest percentage of the population immune to the coronavirus: around 63% have at least one dose, while 59.35% have both, according to Our World in Data, a portal from the University of ‘Oxford.

The authorities launched a major vaccination campaign at the end of last December through an agreement with the pharmaceutical giant Pfizer which gave millions of doses in exchange for data on the effects of vaccination from the databases of the health system.

To date, the country remains closed to non-nationals, with the exception of those benefiting from exemptions for imperative professional or family reasons.
