The body of a minor who appeared at sea this Thursday has been identified as that of Olive tree (6), one of the two girls missing on the Spanish Atlantic island of Tenerife.

The girls are one (Anna) and six years old and they disappeared in the Canaries on April 27 with their father, after he, identified as Tomás Gimeno, failed to return them to the mother at 9 p.m., as they had agreed.

Sources close to the investigation explained that two bags were found, in one of them was Olivia’s lifeless body, and the other was empty.

The finding has already been communicated to the mother and family of the minors.

The chosen search area was agreed on the basis of the geo-positioning of the cell phone of the man who disappeared that day, when he went to sea twice. The body was found at sea by the research vessel following the area where the connection to the father’s phone was lost.

Security forces are continuing their tracing in the area. The miners’ father was last seen in the Santa Cruz de Tenerife marina loading his boat with several bags and was able to set sail up to twice, although he was never seen with minors. The next day, the man’s boat was found empty, adrift and without an anchor in front of the Puertito.

Gimeno had separated from the mother of the minors and did not accept that she had a new partner. In this context, he took his daughters and never returned them as agreed.
