The Austrian case: a young man killed an elderly person to go to prison because “he was not happy with his life”

A 29 years confessed to Austrian police that he had planned the murder of a 77 year old man, chosen at random, to go to jail because he was not happy with his life.

Austrian police said the suspect, a citizen of the European country, appeared at a police station in the city of Kufstein, near the border with Germany, in the western part of the country, at confess to murder.

According to the alleged perpetrator’s story, who had no previous history, the crime was planned weeks in advance and elected “an old person”, a neighbor from the same locality, whom he attracted to a wooded area and stabbed with a kitchen knife.

The victim’s body, with which I didn’t have a previous relationship, was found on Monday afternoon and took a little longer to identify him as he had no known relatives and he was living alone.

“There was no way the victim would survive”Police said in a statement about the neck and chest injuries.

“Several weeks ago he planned to kill someone to be imprisoned because he was not happy with his life”, the agents revealed.

During questioning, the suspect saw himself “Serene and clear” and alcohol or drug ingestion tests were negative, according to police officers, cited by public radio ORF.

The suspect was admitted to a detention center in Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol region.
