A bartender named Max Gutiérrez was the protagonist of a viral story, developed in Florida, United States.
The employee was called a hero on social media, after a young woman shared how she had helped her and her friend at a bar where a man persistently harassed them.
Gutiérrez noticed that his clients Trinity Allie and a friend were heavily teased by a man.
So he created a very discreet plan: as if he was counting, he passed them a note.
The message read, “If this man bothers you, place the tail of your hair on your other shoulder, and I’ll get him out of here.” He annoys me.
Then the girl gave the signal, so Max asked the man to leave the girls alone. Eventually, the stalker was kicked out of the bar. “He literally ended up yelling at the guy,” Trinity assured.
On Twitter, the girl thanked the employee for the gesture by sharing a photo of him and the note.
“He’s the type of bartender that everyone needs,” he said.
The post received hundreds of thousands of likes.
“To feel safe in this world, women need more men like Mr. Gutiérrez,” wrote one netizen.
For his part, the bartender said he was used to identifying problem customers and had no choice but to confront the matter, The New York Post reported.
