Father’s Day was more emotional than usual thanks to the tool Street view of Google Maps, which at first glance may seem simple, until some internet users have discovered that this is the way to get never-before-seen photos of loved ones who are no longer there. The event inspired these users to share their findings to motivate the whole world to seize the incredible opportunity.

It all started with a user who shared an image he found on Google maps, of his father gardening in his last days of life. It was an unseen photo she didn’t have. Thus, a channel was generated where more users revealed their own photos, celebrating the discovery of the new tool.

“My dad passed away 3 years ago, but on Google Maps he still does the gardening he loved.”wrote the tweeter, whose photo had around 50,000 likes. Then appeared several photos of this type, that is to say of people who do not do their daily activities today: walking in the street, at the kiosk, or just looking out the window of the house.

The tool is called Street view and there you can search for people by first and last name. Another netizen said on Twitter that she was looking at the house where her mother lived and that the image she had shown her Google maps 2009 showed that the light in his room was on, so by the time she was taken, her mother was alive.
