Aerolineas Argentinas prepares 10-flight mega-operation to bring vaccines from China

Last Friday, the Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, announced the signing of a new agreement for the acquisition of 24 million Chinese vaccines against Covid-19 Sinopharm. According to him, they will arrive by shipments at the rate of 8 million doses per month in July, August and September.

In parallel, Vizzotti also explained that Argentina has signed a contract to also acquire 5.4 million Convidecia vaccines, which is produced by the Chinese laboratory Cansino. The drug had been urgently approved by the National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology (Anmat).

Sputnik V

On the other hand, Aerolineas Argentinas continues its operations towards Moscow to bring doses of the Sputnik V vaccine. This Wednesday at dawn a new flight left from Buenos Aires to Russia.

This is the twenty-eighth operation of the company in search of vaccines, in charge of the Airbus 330-200 plane, registered LV-GIF, the same which arrived last night in the country from the same destination which, after being conditioned, took off from Ezeiza international airport under number AR1062 at 2:30 am.

Previously, Tuesday evening, the ship had arrived in Ezeiza with 709,085 doses of the Russian vaccine -359,085 of the first component and 350,000 of the second.

With this shipment, Argentina exceeded the 25.7 million vaccines received against coronavirus from the start of the vaccination plan.
