Who was Omar Kittler, victim of entry into the Patagonia neighborhood

Omar Kittler, victim of the tragic assault in the Patagonia neighborhood, was a man who has always been linked to cooperatives and building family homes.

For many years he was president of the Housing Cooperative on December 15, based in the early issues of Gorriti Street.

Throughout his tenure, different batches of houses were delivered, including a large project in several stages, born in 1998 in the sector composed of the streets Sixto Laspiur, Esquiú, Belgium and Nicolás Pérez.

“We have a purely social function,” Kittler remarked in an interview with La Nueva Newsroom in July 2015, as the entity he headed celebrated its 30th anniversary.

Throughout his career, he has been seen sharing different neighborhood events and inaugurations with political leaders from different backgrounds, even with the current mayor Héctor Gay, not so far back in time.

Kittler also became general secretary of the Truckers Union and, at one point, was director of the Ados Union Pharmacy, which operated on Chiclana Street.
