Argentina is the 18th country in the world with the highest number of people vaccinated

With the data updated to July 6, that is to say yesterday, China, with 1.33 billion doses; India (354.31 million) and the United States (331.21 million) occupy the podium for countries that have applied the most vaccines in the world.

If we take into account the number of people vaccinated with a single dose, Argentina jumped to 16th place with 18.25 million. And if the ranking is made in terms of the number of daily doses applied on average over the last 7 days, our country is in 15th place compared to the rest of the world with 370,243 doses.

Against opposition criticism, the vaccination campaign is advancing by leaps and bounds in the country and 54.60% of the population over 18 years of age has already received at least the first dose of the vaccine against the Covid-19 coronavirus.

La Pampa is the district where vaccination is most advanced with 60.4% of its inhabitants already vaccinated.

The second province with the highest percentage of vaccinated population is Jujuy, with 59.75% of those over 18 with the first dose and 16.16% with the full regimen.

While the one that has already applied the greatest number of total doses is the province of Buenos Aires, where 6,901,722 people (54.25% of over 18s) and 1,711,135 (13.45%) with the second .

Regarding the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, 57.32% of the population over 18 has already received the first dose and 15.56% have completed both doses.

The other provinces that have already vaccinated more than 55% of the population over 18 with the first dose are: San Luis (59.28%), Tucumán (58.99%), La Rioja (58.35%) , San Juan (56.54%), Chubut (56.26%), Cordoba (56.25%), Mendoza (56.21%), Salta (56%), Santa Fe (55.95%) and Formosa (55, 84%).

They are followed by Santiago del Estero (53.82%), Tierra del Fuego (53.08%), Santa Cruz (53.01%), Catamarca (51.97%), Río Negro (51.08%), Entre Ríos (51.04%), Neuquén (50.98). %), Chaco (50.57%), Corrientes (48.58%) and Misiones (42.15%).

Since the start of the vaccination campaign, Argentina has received 27,615,730 doses, of which 11,265,830 correspond to Sputnik V; 6,768,000 to Sinopharm; 580,000 to AstraZeneca-Covishield; 1,944,000 to AstraZeneca through the WHO Covax mechanism; and 7,057,900 to those of AstraZeneca and Oxford, the active ingredient of which was produced in Argentina.

According to data from the Public Vaccination Monitor, updated this morning, 25,911,143 vaccines have been distributed in all jurisdictions, of which 23,182,898 have already been applied: 18,491,226 people have received the first dose and 4,691,672 have the full two-dose regimen.
