At least two former Colombian soldiers knew the mission was to assassinate the President of Haiti, the National Police commander confirmed

This Thursday new information arrives from Haiti on the case of assassination of President Jovenel Moïse involving several former Colombian soldiers, the investigation in which the country’s authorities are collaborating increasingly reveals information in which it appears that some soldiers were aware of the plan and others arrived on the island believing that they would provide protection services to Moses.

In addition, They determined that Rivera had received $ 50,000 from the United States prior to the assassination and, along with Capador, entered Haiti from a border crossing in the Dominican Republic.

“Germán Rivera had contacts with 12 people in Haiti, all the technical information is already in the hands of the Haitian authorities; and Duberney Capador would also have had contact with 10 people in Haiti, ”added Vargas.

It is therefore concluded so far that Rivera and Capador have planned the entire operation and that not all Colombians would be involved.

“Initially, they indicated to the rest of the Colombians that this was the activity they were going to carry out. Capador and Rivera were the people who, according to reports Haiti deals with, planned the alleged arrest operation to reach the President’s house.», Assured the Director of Police.

This information coincides with that presented yesterday by journalist Salud Hernández, who stressed that some of the detainees had been deceived.

In addition, Hernández said that according to judicial police sources, he obtained evidence from security camera recordings where one of the detainees confesses that seven of his companions committed the crime.
