Spain to impose mandatory quarantine on Argentine tourists

Concretely, the order will take effect from the beginning of July 27 for an initial period of two weeks, although it can be extended by decision of the Executive itself.

In order to stop the spread of new variants of Covid-19, Spain will continue to require a ten-day quarantine for travelers from India and limit flights from Brazil and South Africa to its citizens.

Spain has suffered a new wave of coronavirus cases for several weeks (677 cases per 100,000 inhabitants for 14 days on Friday) and several regions have imposed restrictions.

The cases are less severe than in previous waves thanks to the vaccination campaign: 53% of the population is fully immune and 64% have received at least one dose, according to official figures.
