What is the Sahel?

The Sahel is a region African where the desert predominates, which stretches over 5,400 km from west to east Africa. To become aware of its scale, it crosses 10 countries: Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria, Chad, Sudan, Eritrea and Ethiopia. To the north, it borders the Sahara Desert and to the south with the African savannah.
