Castillo Terrones, a 51-year-old rural schoolteacher, won the vote against right-wing candidate Keiko Fujimori on June 6, but was not proclaimed president by the highest electoral justice body until on the 19 of that month, after the final vote count for disputes and appeals, which earned him the victory by 44,271 votes difference (8,836,388 against 8,792,117), and will assume for the period 2021-2026.

From Argentina, Fernández called at all times to respect the result of the June 6 ballot, he quickly recognized him as the winner and publicly supported him on several occasions, alongside Bolivian President Arce and former presidents. such as Dilma Rousseff and Morales.

The agenda in Peru
