Thanks to an operation, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and INTERPOL -DIJIN- of the National Police, in collaboration with Migración Colombia and in coordination with the Office of the Attorney General, succeeded in dismantling an organization dedicated to deception for the international trafficking of people in the form of sexual exploitation.

According to official information from the authorities, as a result Simultaneous search and search procedures were carried out in the towns of Pereira (Risaralda), San Juan de Urabá (Antioquia) and Villavicencio (Meta), where five arrest warrants were issued.

This coup against human trafficking was made possible thanks to the investigation which began with the complaint of a woman, victim of this criminal group, who once returned as a returnee from the city of Guangzhou in China, revealed what was the modus operandi of deceiving women offering they work in the east of the country.

According to the victim, by deception, she was offered a job as a companion in this city, with a salary of about $ 3,000 per month. However, once in the Asian country, everything changed, as she was subjected to prostitution.

The investigative work established that once the women arrived at the destination chosen by their attackers, they were handed over to a “Manila”, a person responsible for receiving payments for sexually exploiting them in places deprived of leniency.

There IThe criminals informed the victims that they had incurred a debt of $ 20,000, for plane tickets, documents and passports, and that their obligation was to pay all this debt, otherwise they would retaliate against their victims. families in Colombia, Therefore, they were subjected to the world of prostitution, being available around the clock, because in some cases they served up to 12 or 15 clients per day.

This criminal organization recruited women in vulnerable situations, especially in the department of Risaralda, who were offered jobs as company ladies for alleged Arab citizens, with exorbitant wages on the Asian continent.

In the midst of the investigation, forensic interrogations and photographic examinations were conducted which They established that one of the accused is known as “El Patron”, who apparently belongs to the “Zuley Guerra” sub-structure of the organized armed group – GAO “Clan del Golfo”, where he was. known under the pseudonym of “El Médico.” This person was allegedly responsible for capturing the victims to transfer them to the city of Bogotá and later take them to the airport bound for China.

Among those captured is another Colombian, responsible for welcoming the victims in this country and who, along with the main leader known as ‘Kiki’, a French citizen on the run from justice, enslaved women to prostitution.

The other captured were responsible for locating, dissuading and convincing the victims, transferring them to the country of destination and ensuring their custody so that they did not escape the criminal network.

Likewise, a blue notice from Interpol was issued against a woman, who is apparently in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and is the sentimental partner of the main leader of the criminal organization, alias “Kiki” .

The detainees have been left at the disposal of the general prosecutor’s office and must answer for the crimes of human trafficking and conspiracy to commit aggravated crimes.

According to the national police, so far in 2021, the capture of 22 people dedicated to this illegal activity has been carried out; this year, 86 people (91% of them women) were victims of this crime, and more than 1,175 in the last five years.
