Magnitude 5.1 earthquake shook Chile

An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 was recorded this Saturday morning in Valparaíso, Chile.

According to data from the National Seismological Center of that country, the epicenter was 34 kilometers north of Valparaíso.

Through the national civil protection system, possible damage to people, alterations to basic services or infrastructure resulting from the earthquake began to be assessed.

According to new data from the National Seismology Center, the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.1 to 34 km north of Valparaíso.
