They seized nearly 100 fighting cocks, drugs, peacocks and even a CDMX quetzal

More than 400 doses of medicine, one quetzal, three peacocks and 96 fighting cocks were provided by elements of the Secretariat for Citizen Security (CSS) of Mexico coordinated with the staff of the Attorney General’s Office (FGJ), in the streets of the town hall Gustavo A. Madero.

On Saturday afternoon, members of the two agencies held a judicial diligence in the demarcation as part of the actions implemented to decrease the incidence of crime in matters of crimes against health.

The head of the SSC, Omar Garcia Harfuch, reported on the results of the operation via their social networks, where they assured that they were committed to protection of animals and against their ill-treatment.

“In @TuAlcaldiaGAM colleagues of @SSC_CDMX, our animal brigade and @FiscaliaCDMX, they got about 100 fighting cocks, a Quetzal and 3 peacocks. We are committed to the protection of animals and against the scandalous mistreatment of which they are victims ”.

The SSC said these actions are part of a strategy to prevent the sale and distribution of drugs in the streets and neighborhoods of the city.
